Day 1: Canada - Hanoi (Vietnam)
Flight with good itinerary.
Day 2: Hanoi
Arrival and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day will be open. All meals at your own expense.
Night at hotel Muong Thanh Ha Noi 4* (or similar).
Day 3: Hanoi
Meet up at 2pm at your hotel’s lobby to start discovering the city. Capital of unified Vietnam, Hanoi has kept its old-fashioned charm from the French colonial era. The city’s modernisation, undertaken by the French in 1882, has prolonged until 1955 and Hanoi’s appearance has not changed much since.
It is one of the most beautiful places of worship in the country; an emblem of Confucianism.Lunch at your own expense.
Dinner and night at hotel Muong Thanh Ha Noi 4* (or similar).
Day 4: Hanoi - Duong Lam - Hanoi
After breakfast at the hotel, departure to the village of Duong Lam, located about 65 km east of Hanoi, in the province of Ha Tay (North). Duong Lam is the first Vietnamese village to have been recognized as a national cultural relic. This honor allowed the city to engage in the preservation of its heritage.
Duong Lam has all the features of a traditional Vietnamese village - banyan temple and communal houses. One of the special feature is that all the monuments are built in Duong Lam laterite brick which were polished by the erosion of time and took a soft brown color. Duong Lam lists 800 century old homes, some of which are about 400 years old. After visiting the village of Duong Lam, you will return to Hanoi where you will dine in a local restaurant.
The rest of the day will be free to allow you to walk around in the interesting neighborhood of 36 corporations.

Day 5: Hanoi - Halong
After breakfast at the hotel, early departure to the Ha Long Bay. On the way there, visit of the handicapped artisans shops in Dai Viet. Boarding of a traditional junk ship. Start of the cruise. Seafood lunch.
Ha Long Bay; a UNESCO world heritage site is of supreme beauty and offers an unforgettable sight.
Dinner and night on board with Ha Long Sails (junk ship) (or similar).

Day 6: Halong - Ninh Binh
You will start your morning on the deck, most likely gazing upon the sunrise over the Bay (depending on weather).
Breakfast onboard, following by a visit of the Luong cave (tunnel cave). Return to the junk ship, the cruise will continue for a discovery of the Bay. Disembarkation.
Lunch at local restaurant. Travel towards Ninh Binh. Scenes of rural Vietnamese living will accompany you.
Dinner and night at hotel Legend 4* (or similar).
Day 7: Ninh Binh - Dien Chau
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit of the land part of the Ha Long Bay. This site of exceptional beauty is composed of tall rock formations, which can be compared to those seen on the Ha Long Bay, standing atop rice plantations. 90-minute rowboat stroll amongst the rice plantations surrounding the cone hills that served as the setting for the movie Indochine. Tour of the Bich Dong temples and caves.
Departure in direction of Phat Diem, village known for its cathedral of Sino-Vietnamese architecture, which was built from 1875 to 1899. Visit of the gorgeous Sino-Vietnamese cathedral of Phat Diem. Lunch at a local’s.
Dinner and night at hotel Muong Thanh Dien Chau 4* (or similar).
Day 8: Dien Chau - Dong Hoi
After breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a route towards the South, passing through breathtaking landscapes. Lunch will be taken in a local restaurant, followed by travel by boat and foot towards the gigantic and impressive caves of Phong Nha.
The Phong Nah cave system was declared UNESCO world heritage site in 2003. After the 700m boat excursion, you will be walking to discover the rest. You will have the opportunity to explore the remnants of the Chams’ shrines as well as the inscriptions in caverns.

Day 9: Dong Hoi - Hue
Breakfast the hotel, early departure by route #1 to carry on our progression towards the South. Visit of the Vinh Moc tunnels, major place of the Viet Cong resistance against Americans and bridge of the 17th parallel, natural frontier between the two regions from 1954 and 1975.
Arrival and lunch in Hue. Hue was the imperial capital from 1802 to 1945. Classified as historic patrimony of the UNESCO since 1993, Hue possesses strong capacity for evocation and dream. You will then enjoy a rickshaw ride to the Dong Ba market, where you will find the prettiest conical hats in Vietnam.
Dinner and night at hotel Green 4* (or similar) for 2 nights.
Day 10: Hue
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a sampan stroll on the Perfume River up to the Pagoda of the Heavenly Lady (Thien Mu), located on the left bank of the Perfume River. Il is a Buddhist sanctuary built in 1601.
Visit of the charming Eunuch Temple. Stop at the conical hat and incense shops. Visit of the tomb and gardens of emperor Tu Duc.
Lunch at local restaurant, followed by Tai Chi and Calligraphy displays in a martial arts centre. You will also have the opportunity of enjoying a water puppet show.

Day 11: Hue - Danang - Hoi An
Breakfast at the hotel. Using the tunnel, travel towards Hoi An. Stop at Danang to visit a marble sculpting shop. Lunch at local restaurant.
Hoi An is amongst the most popular tourist sites of Vietnam. It is the only city in Vietnam that has remained pristine, thus becoming precious cultural and historic heritage.
During the evening in Hoi An, you will experience the atmosphere of bygone times brought to life by the warm and soft glow from the boutiques’ lanterns and the beauty of its buildings, but especially the exclusive experience of being in a unique city that has been preserved for centuries and has not been damaged by the war.
Discovery of Hoi An and its main points of interest by foot:
-The Fujian sanctuary, the Phuc Thanh Pagoda.

Followed by a bicycle ride through the gentle rural Vietnam towards the Tra Que Vegetable Village, located 5km away. You will enjoy a 20-minute foot massage session with the village’s aromatic herbs.

Day 12: Hoi An
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a tour of the My Son Sanctuary in the morning: From century IV to XIII, the contemporary Vietnam coast welcomed a unique culture, associated to Indian Hinduism by its spiritual roots.
You will attend to the presentation of Cham dances.
Lunch, followed by open afternoon. Possibility of a stroll on the evening market.
**OPTION ($): Meeting with fishermen to learn their fishing techniques. Round-boat trip in the forest of nipa palm trees: $25 USD / Passenger.

Day 13: Hoi An - Danang - Saigon - Can Tho
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Danang airport for your flight towards Saigon.
Departure for the tour of the Mekong Delta. Stop on the road for a tour of the Caodaist temple.
Arrival in My Tho: boarding of a local motorboat and navigation towards the Phoenix island. During your stroll, you will taste the region’s coconut juice.
Regional lunch at a local restaurant on the island (Elephant-ear fish).
Return to the boat to reach the Ben Tre Island, where you will visit a family factory of coconut-juice candies. Carriage ride to the bee farm, where you will enjoy honey tea and seasonal fruits. Boarding of a rowboat in the arroyos.
Arrival at the hotel in Can Tho.
Dinner in local restaurant and night at hotel Muong Thanh Can Tho 4* (or similar).
Day 14: Can Tho - Saigon
Breakfast at the hotel. Can Tho is the capital of the province of Can Tho and its geographical location makes it the main hub of the Mekong Delta. Boarding of the local boat. Navigation towards the floating market of Cai Rang. Stop at an artisanal rice cake factory and another one in Nuoc Mam.
Debarkation and return to Saigon. Diner at local restaurant on the way there.
Saigon: Renamed Ho Chio Minh in 1976 after the Americans left, the ex-capital of South Vietnam has kept the name of Saigon to the majority of its 8 million residents. Tours of the day: tour of the colonial neighbourhood of the city: Dong Khoi Street, Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral and National Opera of Saigon.
Visit of a lacquer ware factory.
